The facial biometric kiosks are now touchless and receiptless at O’Hare.
On Tuesday, Customs and Border Protection upgraded their facial biometric kiosks at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, giving them touchless and receiptless features. The kiosks are used for people in their Trusted Traveler Program, allowing pre-approved, low-risk travelers to receive travel clearance from the CBP at a much faster rate.
“Receiptless facial kiosks utilize facial biometrics and mobile officer technology to further secure and streamline the traveler experience by confirming traveler identity and making an admissibility decision without producing a receipt,” said Field Operations Director LaFonda Sutton-Burke of the Chicago Field Office. “This touchless process also reduces our environmental footprint through the elimination of paper receipts.”
